It’s raining over much of the UK right now – a relief for many of us who have been worrying over drought-stressed plants. It may not be advisable to mow the lawn when it’s wet, but there are plenty of things you can do – a few suggestions:

  • If you are lucky enough to have a greenhouse, it’s a good time of year to take some semi-ripe cuttings or propagate houseplants (see below) and pot them up in the dry!
  • Slug patrol!
  • Gentle summer showers only – put houseplants out to get some rain therapy – many houseplants prefer rain water, and a gentle shower will refresh their leaves if they’re a bit dusty. Make sure you don’t leave them out there too long though!

Thanks for reading, and happy gardening
