Planting Plans
Full-colour, detailed planting plans to bring seasonal colour all year round into your garden.
For most clients, I concentrate on British natives and naturalised plants that will thrive in the UK climate without a heavy maintenance burden or the need for irrigation.
Some clients are more adventurous – I have created planting plans based on Alpine plants, tropical-looking (but UK hardy) plants, living walls, and succulent beds.
I have also created planting plans that are horse-friendly, dog-friendly, and football-friendly!
Case Study:
My client had lived in his beautiful house at the edge of Worcester for many years, and the garden had grown and evolved in that time. My client wanted to update the planting, injecting colour and interest all year round, and lowering the maintenance burden.
I carried out a meticulous plant survey, identifying everything in the garden and plotting each plant onto a scale plan. I then drew up a detailed report for each plant, including not only its current condition, but also whether it would earn its place in the rejuvenated planting design.
The client was delighted with the level of detail and the new planting plan, and is now excitedly planning the work with a recommended local gardener.
